Went past this sign and stood in a classic dilemma. Either it’s incredibly funny that 1986 (high school) now is so far back that it can be used as advertising or it is wildly depressing to be so old. Or …. Of course you could also just choose to say that it is an American phenomenon because they are so young a nation that everything that goes back more than 20 years automatically qualifice as a historic landmark. I think I’ll choose the last alternative. I’m not old.. USA is just a  young nation and one should bear with youthful excesses.They’ll probably grow older and wiser.
